Different kind of blue.......

So here I am in Sunny California.

Kind of interesting though.
We spend our days in the sunshine
on the beach or walking around.
Mostly wearing a nice, light wrap.
Jeans or yoga pants.
I keep thinking about how hot and humid it is in ATL
and wondering
"do these people really appreciate the weather here?"
How could they not?

The mornings have been gray, but clearing by noon
at the latest. Usually earlier.
The strange thing is that the topic of conversation among many natives
is how depressed they are all getting from the few hours of fog that they
wake up to.

My comment.....
Really????
It's that bad, is it?

My heart just aches for them
and their Different Kind of Blue.

All my bags are packed..........

I'm ready to go......

I am so excited!
I am heading to a place
where there is cool weather,
sunny skies,
and yoga, yoga, yoga!

Just in case you are wondering where,
it's just the place named after me.

L.A.
City of Angels (just like me)

I'm going to be hanging out with
a few lovely ladies.
My yoga peeps for the week:
Susan, Mandy and Linda.

I promise to pass along
inspiration
and beauty
when and where I find it.

I'm so full of gratitude for the opportunity
to follow my bliss.
Thank you family for giving me the
week off!!

Georgie.....keep my place warm
until I get back......

Wanna play dressup?

I find when I travel
I'm so in love with the people.

I love to be reminded
that it takes
a whole lot of different
to make this world
special.

And you know what else?
I usually find myself feeling
the same as them,
only different.
Which is good.
Right?

The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.

Butterfly Memories.......

On Saturday, I had the honor of meeting Liz.
I actually,
really got to know her.
Through her family and through her friends.
(Who better?)
I learned about who she
was,
not what she did.

Don't weep at my grave,
For I am not there,
I've a date with a butterfly
To dance in the air.
I'll be singing in the sunshine,
Wild and free,
Playing tag with the wind,
While I'm waiting for thee.

So.
Next time you see a butterfly
think about Liz....
And
If you have minute...
be sure to dance and twirl for her to see.
And
If you have another minute....
be sure to watch for her wild and free.

What's It All About.........?

Welcome! I'm so excited to be putting myself into the mix of bloggers. I have so many things I want to share with you. I have just begun my 50th year on this planet we call Earth, and seem to be in a place full of Gratitude and Grace for all the blessings in my life. I hope to spend more time in the present just living life, and hopefully a little less time thinking about what I will do when ...........

So, here goes. I hope you will be a part of my ride and journey.
